Farm to Fork Series - Bus Tour of South Santa Barbara County Farms

Please join the Santa Barbara Ag Futures Alliance (AFA) as it embarks on part 2 of a 4 part series aimed at raising awareness about Santa Barbara County’s agricultural industry.

Participants on the June 4th tour must arrive by 7:30am to Home Depot in Goleta, parking in the empty lot behind Home Depot (Santa Felicia Rd.). The bus will depart promptly at 8:00am. Space is extremely limited!

South County Tour stops:
Saturday, June 4th- 7:30am – 2:30pm.
Stops will include:
-Las Varas Ranch (Gaviota)
-Givens Organic Farm (Goleta)
-Farmers’ West Flowers and Bouquets, Inc. (Carpinteria)

A light breakfast and bag lunch are included in the registration fee, with lunch being held at Las Varas Ranch (an experience you won’t want to miss). Participants must attend the tour by bus, as no extra vehicles will be allowed on the farm sites.

Part 3 of the Farm to Fork series will commence on Sept. 10, 2011 with a tour of North County farm operations. Registration options include signing up for one or both tours.

North County Tour:
Saturday, September 10th - 7:30am – 3pm
Stops will include:
-Foodbank of Santa Barbara County (Santa Maria)
-Los Adobes de Maria (Santa Maria)
-Betteravia Farms
-Wine Processing facility (non-confirmed)

Please note that participants on the North County tour must depart on the bus from Santa Maria, location and schedule TBD.
