The public is invited to hear an overview of the LADWP’s and Bureau of Sanitation’s Recycled Water Program at an open community forum that will outline the City’s long-term strategies to expand local water supplies through increased use of recycled water. The forum will be interactive and will include a question-and-answer session.
Led by: Jim Yannotta, Assistant Director of Water Resources, LADWP
LADWP and the Department of Public Works Bureau of Sanitation are expanding the Recycled Water Program to reduce the City’s dependence on imported water by providing more reliable, locally supplied water. The Program includes expanding infrastructure for irrigation and industrial uses along with groundwater replenishment using highly purified water. Recycled Water Forums are being planned for four additional areas of Los Angeles: East LA, West Valley, East Valley and the Westside. Dates and locations for these upcoming workshops will be announced soon on our news website under “Upcoming Events” and via our Twitter account. One forum has previously been held in San Pedro last month, and the Mid City forum is scheduled for April 14.
