LEED 2012 vs. CalGreen with USGBC

USGBC Long Beach Branch Presents:
LEED 2012 vs. CALGreen
A lunch panel presentation and discussion comparing the current mandated 2010 California green building code (2010 CalGreen) and current LEED rating systems.  This program will highlight the similarities, differences, efforts and challenges of the LEED incentive program and CalGreen code requirements.  Followed by a discussion on how the enforceable sustainable code requirements seek to complement rather than replace current LEED and other green building rating systems.
Speakers:
Dimitris Klapsis, Architect, LEED AP, USGBC-LA Board Director, Principal of STUDIO dnk.
Nathan Krantz, AIA, NCARB, CxA, LEED AP (BD+C, O&M, and Homes), CGBP, GPR, Director of Sustainability for VCA Green.
USGBC Long Beach Branch is improving our “green” practice.  A delicious sustainable lunch will be served at this venue.
