sb375 — Sustainable Communities Strategy Update
The California Air Resources Board (ARB) will hold a Sustainable Communities Strategy Update on May 9, 2011. During the meeting, ARB will update Metropolitan Planning Organizations (MPO) on ARB’s process for considering regional Sustainable Communities Strategies (SCS) as required by law. For a draft agenda, click here.
The Sustainable Communities and Climate Protection Act of 2008 requires ARB to review each adopted SCS and either accept or reject the MPO’s determination that the strategy would, if implemented, achieve the region’s greenhouse gas emission reduction targets.
This update will be an opportunity for participants to learn about ARB’s process for considering SCSs. Additionally, participants will hear presentations from the San Diego Association of Governments on their SCS and other state agencies on their activities related to the SCS process.
For questions about this meeting, a special accommodation, or if you need this document in an alternative format (e.g. Braille, large print) or another language, please contact Mr. Matthew Plummer, Executive Fellow, at (916) 445-5154.
